Made by Edgar Finley and Hugh Taylor in Birmingham in 1883. Ovoid on stepped domed foot.
Tapering inset neck on beaded spool base with flat cover. Cast figures, including horse finial, wing-mounted caryatid side handles with scrolled-bracket support, Centurion heads, and two draped cherubs lolling at base. Modern stylized Gothic quatrefoil drops and imbricated leaf knop. Chased and applied beading, flowers, scrolls, and garlands.
The other has dramatic scene with Aurora holding the reins of a horse-drawn chariot. Traditional form with dense and eclectic ornament. Dimensions: H 26 1/4 x W 13 3/4 x D 7 1/4 in.
