Victorian Sterling Silver Trombone Link Albert Chain (12) & Fob- H/M 1900 (47g)

  

Victorian Sterling Silver Albert Chain. This Albert watch chain the fob medal are made from sterling silver. The chain comprises a series of trombone links which are connected by circular links and it comes complete with a'T' bar and dog clip. It has a short fob chain with a medal attached that has an ornately pierced and engraved frame with raised circular centres that don't have any personalised inscriptions. One of the centres is gold but I think it will be a very thin layer of gold applied to the silver.

Both the bar and the clip are hallmarked for Birmingham 1900 with the maker's mark'WL' which shows they are original to each other. In addition, each link of the chain is stamped with the Lion Passant for sterling silver. The medal is also hallmarked for Birmingham 1900 but has the maker's mark of William Hair Haseler. The chain is in lovely condition with no damage to the links or'T' bar and the dog clip is in good working order. The medal is also in good condition with no damage.
