Victorian Sterling Silver Large Matchbox Holder, Crisford & Norris, B'ham, 1900

  

The matchbox holder was made in Birmingham by silversmiths Crisford & Norris and dates to 1900, the last full year of Queen Victoria's long reign. The hallmarks, on the underside of the front rim, are well struck and clear to read.
