A fine Victorian solid silver & cut glass desk stand of circular form, fully hallmarked for London 1894 by fine silversmiths John Grinsell & Sons. The hallmarks to the base are somewhat rubbed as pictured but are repeated on the collar of the inkwell. In terms of condition the cut glass inkwell is good. There are some small dints around the ege of the well holder as pictured, but are out of sight when the inkwell is in situ. Otherwise the silver is good throughout. The base measures 15cms in diameter and weighs 158g not including the inkwell.
