A beautiful Victorian solid silver butter dish lid, with a cow finial. The items are both made by the Sheffield silversmith Henry Wilkinson, and hallmarked in 1867. Dimensions: The lid has a diameter of 11.5cm.
Very good condition, with just one little ding on the edge of the lid, and no repairs. One tiny little split on the chest of the cow (at the bottom)- see photo 7. The hallmarks on the cow are miss-struck, but the date letter and maker's mark correspond to the hallmarks on the lid.
