Rare Victorian Solid Silver Siamese Box with Gods/Goddesses Design - Circa 1850s. This is a rare and beautifully hand-crafted solid silver Siamese box, featuring intricate depictions of gods or goddesses. Dating back to around the 1850s, it has been passed down through the years, and I know its history and provenance well. The box is in very good used condition, though it does have a couple of tiny pinholes near the figures, likely from being rubbed over time. We used to rub it for luck in the mornings, much like you would with a Buddha's tummy! Although there is no hallmark, the box has been acid tested and confirmed as solid silver. The box weighs an impressive 103.6 grams and is truly a remarkable piece.
