Victorian Solid Silver Bonbon/Pin/Trinket Dish by William Neale, Sheffield 1897

  
This is a superb and high quality late Victorian solid silver bonbon, trinket, pin dish by the renowned maker William Neale & Son of Sheffield. It is fully hallmarked WN for William Neale & Son,, Crown for Sheffield, Lion Passant and date letter "E" for 1897, please see pictures and do your own research to confirm the above. The dish is in good condition with no obvious dents, scratches or splits, it is highly polished and reflective but please remember that this is not brand new and will show signs of previous use. It has a lovely floral design with basket piercing which was typical for the era. The dish measures 15.5cm long, 5.5cm at its widest and stands 3.1cm at its tallest, approx. It weighs 44.9grams, approx. This is a very high quality piece which would add to any collection but would also make a very unusual piece to mark a special occasion such as a Wedding, Birthday or Anniversary.
