Victorian Sterling Silver Lidded Scent Bottle. This beautiful bottle has an ornate, screw-off sterling silver lid which is set on a cranberry crystal body of cylindrical form. There is a cork seal in the lid which appears to be original although it's very dry and loose - however, it would be fairly simple to replace. The lid is hallmarked for Birmingham 1887 with the maker's mark of Charles May.

This piece is in goodcondition with no noticeable damage to the silver although there are a few pinhead dints here and there. The decorative detail is nice and crisp and the lid screws on easily and securely. The bottle is good condition but, unfortunately, there is a chip to the base which is visible as a tiny chip to the edge when the bottle is standing.
