SUPERB'GREAT GAGE' 46.66g "WILLAM HENRY SPARROW". FINE QUALITY SQUARE DESIGN ART DECO HIGHLY POLISHED VESTA CASE 1920. CAN BE WORN AS A "PENDENT" ON AN ALBERT CHAIN NECKLACE/OTHER CHAIN NECKLACE. THERE ARE REFLECTIONS IN THE PHOTOGRAPHS WHICH SHOW ON THE HIGHLY POLISHED SURFACE. It is clearly fully hallmarked. This is a SUPERB VESTA WITH AN UNUSUALLY designed ARCHED SHAPED LID which is in'GREAT CONDITION' being free from dents, holes & repairs. There are surface signs of ware but nothing at all. The hinge is strong, has a SNAP shut closing action & the lid has a nice tight fit when closed. The recessed strike plate is in GOOD condition. The case is finished with a hinge pin, loop & jump ring for attachment to a fob & Albert chain. It is a highly desirable Vesta case which would compliment any collection!

It feels very tactile & chunky to the touch. Overall this item is in GREAT condition being 103 years old which my photographs will confirm.
