Set of 6 Victorian silver teaspoons, with fiddle pattern stems and initial engraved terminals "JB". Made in sterling silver by Richard Duncan of Carlisle, and assayed in Newcastle, 1843, with the William IV duty mark.

William IV duty mark was still in use in Newcastle until 1844, before switching to Victoria. [lion passant] ·925 Sterling Silver. [three castles] & [crowned leopard head] Newcastle. They each measure 139mm long, and have a combined silver weight of 99.7g.
