Unusual Victorian Egg Shaped Scent Bottle with Silver Top. 3 inches tall, porcelain body, silver top lined in cork, hand painted cherry blossom on cream background, the main body is gold stippling on a pale aqua background. Not entirely sure of the date as cannot read the hallmark but can dee it is Birmingham.

The pattern appears to be number 5096 but cannot find that anywhere on internet. It is pretty well in perfect condition. Was bought from Hilton Gallery Antiques, in Cambridge in 1971. That shop appears to be no longer there but the egg comes in the box I received it in. There is a vague hint of scent that has once been in it.

A stunning little object that would make the most amazing Easter gift. I have seem a few similar Egg scent bottles but none decorated like this one. I cannot be sure of the date as said previously, cannot read the hallmark. The date given is only an estimate.
