This is a Beautiful Victorian French Solid Silver Figural Roman Lady Sewing Needle Case Etui, this was crafted in France C1880 making it around 139 years old, it has a Double Boar Mark for French Silver and also the Makers mark in a Diamond shape but cant make out the Maker, the Top of the Case is in the form of a Double sided Head of a Roman Lady, and she is Beautifully detailed with a Headdress on and a Flowered Garland across her forehead, and wearing a Beautiful Gown ending in Acanthus with a Floral Belt.

And the Bottom part of the Solid Silver Needle Sowing Case Etui has Beautiful Chased. Flowers on both sides and is finished to the Bottom with Acanthus Leaf, this would have been owned by a Wealthy Lady in the Victorian Period and used for storing Sewing Needles in a time when things were very different to today, it is in lovely condition for its age of around 139 years with just light wear to the Base.
