Made by Tiffany & Co. Arched top with hinged and cork-lined cap. At bottom oak branches and fleurs de lys with reeded curvilinear border. On front a pair of nude wrestlers heave and grapple.

A fine exhibition of male brawn, probably inspired by Classical sculpture, such as the celebrated Roman marble group on view at the Uffizi in Florence. On back a large and elaborate scrolled, interlaced, and flower-strewn monogram. Fully marked including pattern no. 10035 (first produced in 1888), directors letter M (1873-91), and volume (7 1/2 gills or 30 fluid ounces). Dimensions: H 8 1/2 x W 5 1/4 x D 1 3/4 in.
