Superb English Sterling Silver Shaw Family Crested Basting Spoon 1844 Antique

  

A superb Victorian English antique solid sterling silver basting spoon. It is hallmarked for London 1844 with the maker's mark being that of Samuel Hayne & Dudley Cater. It has been well made to what is termed the Fiddle pattern and has been engraved with a crest used by the Shaw Family.

It is in super condition being free from dings splits distortions and repairs, small scratch to the bowl side - see final photo. 11.75 inches (30cm) long by 2.25 inches (5.6cm) wide and weighs 114 grams.
