Stunning Silver Victorian Hinged Tea Caddy -Hallmarked London 1852 - 295g Weight. This stunning piece is a Victorian solid silver hinged tea caddy.

It was made by George John Richards in London in 1852 and is hallmarked as such. It is hallmarked on the base of the body of the caddy and also on the underside of the hinged lid.

It is a hefty & weighty piece of solid silver, weighing in at 295g. It is rectangular in form with a slightly domed cover and is chased in Rococo Revival Style.

The cartouches have never been engraved and thus there is an opportunity to customise and/or personalise the item. It is 9.5cm high and weighs 295g (9.5 Troy ozs). This item is utter class. It graces any household and specifically any kitchen.
