A wonderful example of an English Sterling Silver communion chalice, made by Thomas Edward Harwood London in 1878. This would have been used in churches for communion. The chalice has a wonderful set of English sterling silver hallmarks to the side, has a highly polished silver finish to its entirety. Free from personalisation and monograms, still retains its original gold gilt to the inside. The chalice sits upon a hexagonal stem leading onto a base which is petal shape. Chalices are highly desired and are extremely collectable, for the collector or investor of fine English Silverware.
