Stunning Georgian/Victorian French Solid Silver Diamond PASTE Pendant Necklace An absolutely stunning antique georgian/victorian 19th century French gilt solid silver pendant necklace. The necklace is made up of 40 round cut 6mm diamond paste stones with closed back setting, this part I believe to be georgian. The pendant part I think is more victorian in style with open back setting and faintly foiled stones, the lavalier drop is ornately designed with a slightly naturalistic feel. It is set with round cut diamond paste stones of varying sizes and some unusual oval cut paste stones. PLEASE NOTE THE STONES ARE GLASS PASTE STONES MEANT TO SIMULATE DIAMONDS. I can only find one mark, a diamond lonzenge mark which is a french makers mark - I cannot decipher it. Given its 15 length I would imagine it would be worn as a collar/choker necklace. A superb quality antique piece, a very rare piece to find it such good and complete condition. It will come packaged in a presentation box as shown.
Would make a lovely present for any occasion or a treat for yourself!! Marked with french makers mark, tested as at least Solid Sterling Silver. Weight: Approx 28.8g Measurements: 15 long necklace 38.5cm.
Drop 2" long x 1 1/8" wide 50 x 30mm. Condition: Very Good Used Condition for its age. The clasp has been replaced. The gilt finish has worn revealing the silver under in places. The paste stones are in very good condition with minor wear.
Comes in a new presentation box - Please look at all photos - Please ignore any white flash marks, these are not on the piece. The item "Stunning Georgian/Victorian French Solid Silver Diamond PASTE Pendant Necklace" is in sale since Monday, May 18, 2020.
