Wonderful example of a large Victorian chronograph pocket watch. Retailed by Max Cohen, Cheetham, Manchester. Hallmarked solid silver 54mm case, with excellent and crisp hallmarks. Inside is a superb 15-jewel English fusee movement, with a split compensation balance and Breguet.
It is fitted with a perfect balance-hack mechanism, allowing the escapement to be stopped. It is in excellent working condition. The centre sunk dial in virtually perfect, and fully signed.
It is fully marked as a chronograph should be, with a sixty minute/second and 300ths second chapter ring. A large and very impressive Victorian timepiece.
