Sterling Silver Hip Flask Small Victorian Birmingham 1895- Screw Top

  

A lovely Victorian screw top Hip Flask with a floral etched pattern to the front and rear. Made by the collectable silversmiths Hilliard and Thomason of Spencer Street Birmingham who traded from around 1850 - early 1900's.

A concave shape with original engraved initials of LH in a script form. Clear hallmarks to both front and rear as shown in the images. The lid still screws on tightly with a cork liner to seal it. The flask does not leak and holds about 2 fluid ounces. There is a small bruise to the top right hand corner.

It measures 3 inches (7.5 cm) to the top of the lid and 2 1/8th inch (5.5 cm) wide.
