A striking and decorative Victorian sterling silver travelling card case with the most fabulous engine turned decoration, it has suffered very little wear and it is still as sharp and defined as 100 years ago. Fully hallmarked Sterling Silver, Birmingham 1865. The makers mark is of Edward Smith. It is in a very good condition with no splits or repairs. The lid shuts securely and tightly. The hinge is in good order. The corners have a few small bruises that are noticeable on a close inspection. Some very light surface wear as expected for its age and use.
