Sterling Silver and Enamel Vesta Case - Antique Victorian. This fine antique Victorian sterling silver vesta case has a plain rectangular rounded form. The anterior surface is embellished with fine and impressive enamel panel depicting a tobacco pipe amidst the text'Just one more'.

This fine vesta case is fitted with a hallmarked hinged cover which incorporates a plain thumbpiece. There is an integrated serrated panel/match striker to the underside.

The reverse side of the case is plain and unembellished. This impressive vesta case was crafted by the Birmingham silversmiths Cornelius Desormeaux Saunders & James Francis Hollings (Frank) Shepherd. This antique vesta case is a very good gauge of silver, fine quality and in excellent presentation condition.

The enamel panel is in perfect condition. Full hallmarks struck to the surface of the rim and part hallmarks to the interior of the cover are all very clear. Reflections in photographs may detract from the true representation of this Victorian silverware.
