Set Of four Victorian Solid Silver Shell Salts on Raised Dolphin Feet boxed

  

A wonderful set of solid silver salts with shell shaped bowls sitting on raised dolphin feet, complete with original fitted box. Comes with four spoons of matching style and era (Victorian) but different hallmarks. Salts are hallmarked for Birmingham 1862 and maker Henry Hyde Aston. Spoons are hallmarked Chester 1899 and maker James Deakin & Sons. Combined silver weight is 170g.

Each salt measures 65 x 65 x 40mm tall. The silver is salts and spoons are all in very good condition age - some light tarnishing but overall very good. The outer box has some wear with one side panel loose at the joints, however this is easily repaired. Light surface wear to leather exterior - overall a nice decorative set. My items are all used, vintage or antique and so will have signs of usage and wear from a past life.
