Rare Large Charles May Victorian Sterling Silver and Cut Glass Double Gourd Scent Bottle 1896. Beautiful heavy cut glass bottle of unusual shape with silver collar and hinged cap opening to reveal the original neat fitting internal stopper.

The lid snaps tightly shut and is decorated with a repousse floral pattern and a blank cartouche to the top so has not been personalised. Fully hallmarked for Birmingham 1896 and high quality maker Charles May. Silver and internal stopper both excellent. Of large size, it measures 16.5 cm high and weighs 667 grams.
