REGIMENTAL, CRESTED ANTIQUE SOLID SILVER INK STAND. Hallmarked for LONDON 1888, with makers mark for CHARLES BOYTON II. Total weight is 672.5 gms. / 21.6 ozs, including cut glass ink bottle. Total weight of sterling silver base is 165.2 gms.

/ 5.3 troy ozs, measuring 18.5 cms across base at widest point, height 12.3 cms to top of ink bottle. Cut glass ink bottle measures 11.8 cms high to top of domed lid, approximately 8.7 cms across cut glass body at widest point. In good condition throughout with no chips or cracks.

Made from a good gauge of Victorian solid silver with nice embossed / engraved floral design decoration to shaped base and lid of ink well. Presentation inscription engraved within one cartouche - Presented to COLONEL HALL, REGIMENTAL CREST engraved within other cartouche. 3RD BATTALION - DOREST REGIMENT.
