RARE William Robb Kincardine O'Neil Silver Medal, Lumphanan Games, Provincial

  

A very rare Scottish antique sterling silver medal by William Robb, carries a full set of Edinburgh hallmarks for 1892/93 and the KON mark for Kincardine O'Neil. In magnificent order with good clear marks. Measures 52mm top to bottom and 46mm across. This mark stamped KON is very rare indeed and seldom seen and when pieces are found they do generate plenty of interest. Prior to Robb working in Ballater, William Robb initially set up his business in Kincardine O'Neil.

Marks with either the KO'N or K'ON are rare and its believed only a small number of items remain to this day. The actual time Robb worked from Kincardine O'Neil is as yet unknown.
