Rare & Superb Victorian Cased Silver-Gilt, Turquoise & Coral Double Ended Scent Bottle, Thomas Johnson, London, 1866. A lovely rare example for the perfume / scent bottle collector. This example has a nicely faceted cut glass body with lovely silver gilt mounts at each end.

The button-release end springs back like a gun! Is inset with approximately 40 small turquoise stones.

The opposing end is similar but a screw top and features red coral inset into the silver-gilt top. A wonderful bottle that just needs a clean inside to removed old perfume residue. The original case has protected the perfume bottle impeccably but at its own detriment and pretty much falls apart in the hand and will need some serious TLC!

Otherwise this is a truly excellent example of its type.
