A Rare Victorian Hallmarked Sterling Silver "Bullet" Teapot by The Barnard's. The Teapot is 9 3/8" in length (handle to spout) with a diameter to the body of 5 5/8" and a height of 5 and has a substantial weight of 18.2 oz or 516 grams. The Teapot sits on raised circular base with an excellent "Bullet" shape to the body with a double scrolled hinge to the flush circular lid finished with a Stunning Finial with an excellent looped "C" shaped handle and an octagonal formed spout (see photo's).
The Teapot is free of any Initials or Monograms (see photo's). The Teapot is in excellent condition (see photo's). The Hallmarks to the base are. Lion Passant - Sterling Mark.
Town Mark - Leopards Head - London. Duty Mark - Queen Victoria. Date Letter - D - 1839. Makers Mark - E E B J W - Edward, Edward junior, John & William Barnard. Also hallmarked to the inside of the lid, handle and finial (see photo's).
