A rare Victorian English antique solid sterling silver combination tobacco or snuff box and card or cigarette paper holder. It is hallmarked for Birmingham 1892 with the makers mark being that of Deakin & Francis. It h as been superbly designed being engraved with initials and very unusually has a secret compartment in the lid for possibly cigarette papers. The inside has been richly gilded.
It is in super condition being free from dings splits holes and repairs, the inside is clean and the lid closes securely. 3.5 inches (8.5cm) across by 2.25 inches (5.5cm) wide by 0.75 inch (1.6cm) tall and weighs 72 grams.
