A super quality rare English solid silver desk clip. It is hallmarked for London 1896 with the makers marks being JD for J Dudley of Southsea Hampshire. It has been beautifully designed being cast in the form of St George slaying the dragon mounted on a horse shoe shaped polished natural material base.

It is in superb condition being free from dings splits holes and repairs and is highly sprung and works well. It measures 3.5 inches (8.8cms) by 3.25 inches (8.4cms) across the base and weighs 108 grams. A beautiful and unusual piece.
