Rare Novelty silver item in the form of a medieval battle axe. Maybe designed to be used as a cheese fork or could just be a novelty piece.

I have come across a bread fork which is similar and by same maker but has a double sided blade. Fully and clearly stamped for maker Henry Wigfull, Sheffield.

Also with registered number 367021. Length is just over 15cms.

Comes with original box which has vibrant blue silk and velvet Interior. Has been well looked after. I would class any wear as minimal and commensurate with an item of 121 years of age.
