A rare museum standard sterling silver snuff box. It is hallmarked for London 1870 with the makers marks being HWD for Henry William Dee. It has been beautifully made being of a curved form and has been engraved inside with the retailers W.
Thomas 23 Old Bond St. The lid has been engraved H. Thompson Thingwall Liverpool and The Castle Dublin 1871 which has been crossed out. It is in superb condition being free from dings splits holes and repairs. The inside is gilded and the hinge works perfectly forming a good seal.
