F ABULOUS RARE 19TH CENTURY VICTORIAN SOLID SILVER NOVELTY DONKEY PIN CUSHION. This stunning Extremely Rare 19th Century Victorian Solid Silver Novelty Donkey Pin Cushion. This wonderful Pin Cushion dates to Circa 1880 making it over 140 years old, it is exquisite, the solid silver Donkey has the most adorable face with pricked up ear, he has strap detailing on his back as though holding the large pots securely , the large pots to each side are the pin cushions with a deep blue covering, though they may be replacememnts, he is in full walking motion with his front leg up as though he was taking his next step.

He is so special , all this sits on an oval silver base that looks like a cobbled path, i have never seen a Pin Cushion like this before hes beautiful, he is hallmarked 800 so may be French. The quality of the craftsmanship is superb. This wonderful Pin Cushion would have once belonged to a Victorian Lady and used daily, this will add something very special to any collection, it is so very tactile and once held it has the most wonderful feel.
