A good example of a Victorian solid sterling silver tea pot with gadrooned detail on the base and elegant square handle. It is stylish and good quality, weighing a total of 183g with the handles.
It is clearly hallmarked for Birmingham, 1889. The makers mark is visible but hard to fully make out. It is in good condition given its age and it displays well. However it is not without signs of age and use and there are some marks and small dinks and dents which have left a slightly rippled effect on the surface in places.
There are some small splits around the pouring spout, an old repaired split in the wooden knob and on the wooden handle. It has a nice antique used and loved look and it has been gently cleaned and polished is now ready for use.
