Magnificent Stunning Early Victorian Sterling Silver Teapot Barnards of London. A magnificent and truly breathtaking early Victorian 1843 Sterling Silver English teapot made by one of the oldest Silversmith running families of the silversmith trade by Edward, Edward Junior, John & William Barnard.

As you can see from the numerous photos I have put on for your perusal. A truly outstanding and highly collectable piece. The teapot has immense design work to its entirety with swishes and swirls which runs into the handle and to the base and top of the spout.

Has a full set of English sterling silver hallmarks to the base which are crisp and clear, with a run number and the retailers mark of Thomass Bond Street London , which is one of the most famous and prestige streets in England. The teapot has a highly polished silver finish to its entirety, has been monogrammed and initialled. These are becoming hard to find as many today have wooden handles, this handle is made of sterling silver. The lid of the teapot fits snug and tight, all in all a truly outstanding piece of workmanship and real collectors piece. For the collector or investor of the finest English silverware, would make a great gift. The company was original established by Anthony Nelme in 1680 and this was passed through the family generations Edward Barnard I joined with the widow of John Emes after his death in 1808 and continued with his sons. Light surface marks consistent with age and genuine use. Some bumping most is hidden by the flower and fauna design, handle slightly loose where joined by the cream divider, but still firmly attached.
