Large Victorian Sterling Silver Racing/Hunting Trophy. In excellent condition, this is. An impressive Victorian silver trophy centrepiece with two horses heads and galloping leg handles. The bowl is decorated with scrolling, flourishing flowers and leaves.
It has a central ornate column with a gilded bowl above. It stands on a grand, pedestal spreading foot.
There are two large oval cartouches with beaded borders. We can monogram these for you. There are four tiny holes on the base, which probably held a plaque. Hallmarked: Made by Robert Hennell III in London in 1867. He was the son of Robert Hennell II. Took over his father's business. Size: The base has a 17cm diameter.The top has a 21cm diameter. The horse handles are 7.5cm by 8cm.
The trophy is 41cm across with the horse handles. The cartouches are 11.5cm by 4.5cm.
