Large Victorian Silver Diamond Jubilee Commemorative Bookmark 1896

  

A superb large Victorian silver Bookmark, made to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the coronation of Queen Victoria in 1837 and her Diamond Jubilee in 1897. The long tapering blade engraved with the dates 1837 - 1897.

The circular mount set with a Victorian silver florin below a crown finial. By Walter Thornhill & Co, London 1896. In good condition with no damage or repair. 156 mm x 27 mm. 27.6 grams in weight.
