STERLING TEA SET 1892 NO MONOGRAM This is an elegantly crafted 1892 Howard & Co. Sterling silver lion paw & claw tea (partial) set. Howard opened its New York City doors in 1866. By the time this set was crafted, the firm had stores in London and Newport Rhode Island. Several examples in the Museum of the City of New York and others. This 1892 Howard sterling silver lion paw and claw teapot 9 inches. Handle to spout and the set 27 1/2 standard ounces. The teapot interior clean as if little used. Retains original hand chased detail.
