A top quality 19th-century, early Victorian sterling silver mounted rectangular antique travelling inkwell. The lid and thumb piece decorated with hand engraved beautiful Scroll and Shells. Original antique cut glass, the base with a starburst pattern. Excellent condition, the lid and the mount made of thick gauge silver, it feels solid and sturdy.

No monograms, the circular cartouche has a leopard's face crest which is lovely and highly detailed. HALLMARKS: London, SILVER fineness 925. DIMENSION: 7cm x 3.2cm (3 3/4" x 1 1/4"). Height: 4cm (1 1/2) approx. No dents or dings to the silver.
