A rare English solid sterling silver travelling inkwell. It is hallmarked for London 1878 with the makers marks being CACA for Aspreys. It has been superbly made having a button operated lid with the inside being gilded. It is in superb condition being free from dings splits chips cracks and repairs.

4.5 inches (11.2cms) long by 1.75 inches (4.6cms) wide by 1.75 inches (4.5cms) tall and weighs 288 grams. A beautifully made very rare Asprey example.
