Description: A stunning large Victorian solid sterling silver table snuff trinket box which has a heart shaped body with a hinged lid. The body and lid are beautifully embossed with floral, foliate and scroll shaped protruding decoration with a cartouche to the centre of the lid which is engraved with a monogram. Comes with a lovely patterned border to the base and hinged lid. And is of 131 years of age a splendid Antique from the late Queen Victorian period. It's of an excellent weight and very unusual large size, made of an excellent gauge of solid sterling silver and weighs an impressive 200 grams.

Comes with a engraved cartouche to the lid but doesn't have any presentation inscription or anything erased. It's an all original example. Would make an excellent fine addition to anyones collection or is ready to be used for its purpose it was made for. Makers, Assay office & Date Hallmark: William Hutton & Sons, London and 1893. Measurements: Length 10.3 cm, Width 11.2 cm and Height 6 cm. Condition report: Excellent condition for its 131 years of age with no nasty dents, dings, holes, splits or repairs. Just has some wear marks from age and use but nothing major or anything noticeable. The embossed decoration is in superb condition with no wear worries or any holes from polishing over its years. The underneath of the base does have some age related wear. The lid opens just how it should and closes tightly shut. The interior is in excellent condition for its age but does have wear marks. Both hallmarks to the body and lid match up but they are slightly rubbed but still readable. Just what's to be expected with age. A stunning example which comes in an unusual large size, which is ready to be added to your collection.
