In good condition, a seven chain chatelaine. The chains are suspended from four bosses, probably all cast. The clip on the boss is hallmarked for 1888, Birmingham and has the Victoria head duty mark. The G clips on the end of the fancy chains bear sterling silver lions marks.
Maximum length with the scissor case, just over 14 inch. The largest boss is 2.5 inch across. Cornelius Desormeaux Saunders & James Francis Hollings (Frank) Shepherd.
Sheffield steel blades , probably original. Pin cushion - no obvious marks. The relief is a little rubbed. Thimble bucket, Levi & Salaman , Birmingham 1888.
Thimble marked - sterling silver, made in England - C1900. J & R Griffin (Joseph & Richard Griffin).
Dinted at the case end. Needle case - light overall dinting to the body however an excellent piece with bayonet cap with applied lion, Levi & Salaman , 1888 Chester (very early L & S piece - I never knew they started off using the Chester office). Cigarette holder case , Birmingham 1909. Thomas Henry Vale - sorry one piece of ancient cigarette holder stuck down at the bottom - perseverance required.
