An attractive antique, Late Victorian era sterling silver double Albert chain or watch chain. Nice chunky curb links with a dog clip fastener to each along with a t bar and a fob. It has two chunky silver dog clip fasteners both marked for sterling silver, Birmingham 1894.
It has a very attractive and unusual shield shaped fob, the centre shaped almost like a heart with a border of shamrocks or lucky clover. The fob is hallmarked for Chester 1907.Each link of the chain bears the lion passant for sterling silver. A nice heavy chain, the perfect piece for displaying your favourite pocket watch or pendant. Good used condition overall, some rubbing of the marks, overall patina and age commensurate surface wear, one dog clip is pushed in so is permanently closed. Total weight 51.5 grams.
