This very attractive chatelaine perfume bottle depicts two love birds among foliage to front and back. French caged ruby glass Victorian chatelaine perfume scent bottle c1880. The decorative gilt mounts cover the shoulders and both sides of the bottle. The hinge is excellent, just a little play and closes securely, no stopper present The glass body is disc shaped and has no visible chips or cracks Measures 6.5 cm and the suspensory chain and ring add another 5 cm. Good uncleaned antique condition Some loss of gilding shown in photos.
