Antique Sterling Silver Victorian Era Pocket Folding Frame Mini Photo Tin Type

  

Very unique Victorian era sterling silver pocket size folding frame. Heavy repousse work on front and back covers. There is a monogram on the center of the front and back as well. It is marked only "Sterling" on the side. No makers mark that I can find.

There may or may not have been inserts to keep the photos in place inside. If there were they are no longer present.

They may have just needed to be cut to a size where they would snuggly fit. The exterior could benefit from a polishing if you wish. The inside shines like the day it was new. This is a nice ornate example. It may or may not have been part of a watch fob at some point as well.
