ANTIQUE - Sterling Silver - Small Engine Turned HIP FLASK - George Unite - 1868. A nice, clean example of an antique mid-Victorian sterling silver hip flask, with screw top fitting.
Made by the highly collectable George Unite, this premium quality flask is of investment quality. Slightly concave in shape, with both the front panel and reverse feature a fine engine turned decoration, with the from having the "RP" initials within the cartouche. We believe this embellishment is period to the piece. The sides have further leaf-style engraving, however these have worn and become somewhat obscured over time.
This flask is comes with tightly fitting screw off cap. Please see above for quantity available. 925 sterling silver, dated 1868. Makers mark as per image above. Holds 2.5 fl oz.
Size: Measures 3 1/8" (7.7 cm) tall, 3" (7.5 cm) wide. Condition: Item is in stunning condition, it's been cleaned and polished, so has a nice soft silver patina.
