ANTIQUE - Solid Sterling Silver - HIP FLASK - Saunders & Shepherd -Chester 1943. A nice example of a plain, Victorian antique sterling silver 2 piece hip flask, Chester assay. This premium quality, heavy weight, mid-sized piece comes in classical plain form, with slightly kidney shaped body, with detachable cup and short-arm mushroom bayonet fitting cap. The thick gauge of silver has no signs of any erasures or embellishment, the flask is made of a good gauge of silver and would suit personalisation if required. 925 sterling silver, sponsors mark of Cornelius Desormeaux Saunders & James Francis Hollings Shepherd, Chester 1881. Maker's marks as per image above, very rubbed. Holds 4 floz, 120 ml. Size: Measures 4 7/8" (12.5 cm) tall, 3" (7.5 cm) wide.

Condition: Item is in excellent condition, cleaned and polished, ready to go. Some slight signs of use commensurate with age, but overall nice silver patina. Slight leak when squeezed, cork is a little loose fitting. We specialise in quality named silver, flatware and crystal.
