Mid Victorian silver posy holder otherwise known as a tussie mussie, the conical shaped. Four distinct tapered panels each with a central oval cartouche three decorated with engraved floral bouquets; one housing the securing pin, the fourth illuminated initials BEL all to a detailed bright-cut diamond engraved. The silver beaded rimmed vase sits above a pineapple effect knop with petal edge collar above a sectioned combination holding handle come tripod similarly engraved with floral sprays the polished silver threaded termination unscrews releasing the three sections to form the stand. Fully hallmarked Sheffield 1865 makers initials R&B (possibly Roberts & Belk). The posy holder shows no real signs of being used, pretty much as new.
