English antique sterling silver claret jug or wine ewer on square base with embossed decoration. Hallmarked from Chester in 1899 with the makers mark being that of George Nathan & Ridley Hayes. A good looking piece but should be noted at some point there is a repair on lid close to the hinge area. Lid sits ever so slightly up when its in place so small adjustment required.
