Antique R Blackinton & Co. Sterling Ornate dance purse without chain. Heart shaped cartouches are convex. One side has a monogram that I can not make out. I took a photo that focused on that area in case someone was better at reading these than me.
0n my scales it weighs 67.35 grams. Measures approximately 3 1/2" x 2 1/2" x 5/8.
Marked sterling, sword through B maker's mark, No. I first thought this was a card case until I did some research and found that there was at one time a chain. Seems a little tight lengthwise for most cards. Clasps worked well once I got the hang of opening these sort of things. Please look at photos to get best idea of condition.
A few small dings, some tarnish. Some light scratches and worn places.
