Here we have a wonderful antique Victorian English Sterling Silver cased travelling clock. The case is of a lovely plain rectangular form with a pretty. Carrying handle to the top. The case is then raised on lovely bun feet.

The dial of this timepiece is visible through a circular glass which has a plain applied silver border. The round white enamel dial itself is set out with Roman hour numerals and. To the rear there is a hallmarked hinged door which opens to reveal the original French eight-day movement.

The clock movement has an integral hinged winding key. There is a full set of hallmarks to the edge of the door namely the date letter'a' for 1900, an anchor to show it was assayed in Birmingham. The date letter'a' to show it was made / assayed in 1900. The lion to show it is English Sterling Silver. The makers mark'GB' for what could be George Bowers, but please view photographs and judge for yourself.

Hen to the inside of the door and the handle there is the lion passant and the date letter'a. Maximum dimensions are 5 cm wide x 4.5 cm deep x 9.5 cm high (to top of handle).

The dial is approximately 3.5 cm in diameter. The case is in nice condition just minor.

With age namely a very small indent to top left corner and on right side at bottom. Is in nice condition just minor. With age, there is a little nibble to the centre of the dial.
